Guidelines for Abstract Submission
E-Abstract Submission
The Scientific Committee of the 13th Korea Japan Joint Meeting of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery welcomes abstract submission for oral and poster sessions. All abstracts presented at the meeting will be published in the abstracts book.
Abstracts received by July 20, 2010 will be considered under the standard review procedure. Only On-line Abstract Submission at the official website is accepted. All authors accepted for presentation must register for the meeting through the website before August 9, 2010 in order to confirm their participation.

Submission Instruction
Step 1: Prepare Abstract(s)
▪ Abstract should be written and presented in English.
▪ Presenting & corresponding authors’ information including correct email addresses are required.
  There can be no more than ten(10) authors per abstract.
▪ Abstract details: Topic of interest / Title / Objective(s) / Method(s) / Result(s) / Conclusion(s)
▪ Each abstract should be
  - less than 500 words for Keynote Lecture, Plenary Sessions, Symposia, Luncheon Seminar and
    Congratulatory Session.
  - less than 300 words for Oral / Poster Sessions.
▪ Graphics, Figures and Tables are NOT allowed in the abstract.

Step 2: Log on to the official website (www.kjmeeting2010.org)

Step 3: Select the E-Submission tab from the menu and sign-up first.
Step 4: Complete the author information.
Step 5: Complete the abstract details.
Step 6: Complete the disclosure statement.
Step 7: Click ‘NEXT’ button and save or modify after review your abstract.
 
CV Submission

All the speakers and moderators attending the session are required to submit their briefed Curriculum Vitae. Please select ‘CV Subimission’ menu at ‘My Page’ and fill out your academic profile.

▪ The on-line form editing field is suited for Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher versions only.
  To download the Internet Explorer 5.5 is easy and detailed description of downloading can be found at
  www.microsoft.com.
▪ Netscape Users: Older versions of the Netscape browser may not be compatible with the online system, causing
  difficulty or preventing abstract submission or data retrieval.

 
Confirmation of Abstract Submission
An acknowledgement of abstract submission will be automatically sent to abstracts submitter, corresponding author and a presenting author by e-mail upon completion of online submission. This letter is not an acceptance notification but a notification of your abstract details. It is the responsibility of each individual to verify the acknowledgements and carefully review the submitted abstract(s), noting that in some cases during the submission process, characters become illegible.
 
Review Process

The scientific committee will review all abstracts that are submitted on time and that are in accordance with the specified format. The meeting organizers reserve the right to reject any proposals which fail to comply with the submission guidelines mentioned above. Applicants will receive notification of decisions regarding submissions by March July 28, 2010.

 
Notification of Abstract Acceptance
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their submission by e-mail, no later than July 28, 2010. Further details for accepted presentations will be sent at the end of July 2010, indicating the time, session and location of the presentation. If your abstract is accepted, please make sure that you on-line register no later than August 8, 2010 which is the deadline of early registration. Unless you register on time, your abstract(s) may not be included in the abstracts book.
 
How to Prepare Presentation(s)

▪ All presentations should be made using English language.
▪ Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 is recommendable for presentation file(s).
▪ When building your presentation, all files (PowerPoint and external, i.e. movie files) associated with your presentation
  must reside in the same folder.
▪ Be sure to bring your movie files along with your PowerPoint presentation; they are NOT embedded into the   PowerPoint.
  To ensure the best chance of success, please create your movies as MPEGs.
▪ If transferring a presentation from a Macintosh environment to a PC platform, it is imperative that you review your
  presentation in the Preview Room.
▪ We do not recommend using your own laptop to avoid problems with computer projector compatibility and to save
  otherwise be needed for changing connection.
  However, if you plan to use your personal laptop, please bring it to the Preview Room to confirm display compatibility   with the supplied equipment in each session room.
